Goal:


The major objective of the activity is to understand what is going on behind the scenes of a journal, how the peer review process works and how the authors of a manuscript can contribute to facilitate this process. We will also discuss examples where the peer-review system has been abused, what journals do to avoid abuse, detect scientific misconduct and ensure a good peer review. In the end, any questions of the participants regarding peer review, scientific journals, impact factors or manuscript submission will be discussed.

- scope and impact factors of journals
