Biosketch
Winnebeck received her bachelor's degree in Biomedicine at University of Würzburg and her PhD  in Chronobiology from the University of New Zealand. After returning to Germany she joined the research group of Till Roenneberg at the LUM Munich in 2012. Later she accepted the position of senior scientist in the Institute of Neurogenomics at the TUM Munich. Dr. Winnebeck is currently Lecturer in Chronolbiology at the University of Surrey, UK. As a chronobiologist and sleep researcher, Dr. Winnebeck studies biological rhythms in and around sleep, how these rhythms are influenced by internal and external factors such as genetics, age or societal timing and how these rhythms are linked with outcomes such as health and well-being. Her main research method is activity tracking and big datasets.
